THE RULES.

GENERAL,
i. follow the proboards terms of service. it goes without saying, but please remember to follow the proboards terms of service, which you can find by clicking here. we don’t want this site to be deleted do we?

ii. activity. there isn’t any point in joining a forum and then abandoning it and never coming back. totally pointless. if you join us please at least stick around for a while. also, existing members, please try and post in ALL of your threads. if you post in one thread, then you must show common courtesy and post in the other threads you’re in.

iii. trolling/flaming. trolling or flaming doesn’t make you ‘cool’ or ‘tough’. no, it gets you banned on here, so please don’t cause trouble. if you see any trolling or flaming then please pm a member of staff and we’ll sort it out.

iv. respect. it’s common courtesy – respect the staff, andthe members. we made the site for your entertainment, so the least you could do is be nice back to us, and respect your fellow members.

v. double-posting. it’s a big no-no. there’s no need, seeing as there’s a ‘modify’ button for you to use should you need to correct something. there are only a few places you can double-post in, and that is the ‘thread trackers’ or the creativity board, otherwise, nowhere else!

vi. images. signatures can’t be any more than 550 pixels in width and 400 in height. avatars should be at most 125x200 pixels, but no more than that. any other images should stick to 500x400 or less.

vii. rating. we rate this place as EW! for ‘epic win’ and ‘gross’ in the sense of ‘sick’ in the sense of the slang ‘cool’, but in all seriousness this forum has mature themes.

viii. patience. it’s a virtue everywhere, whether it be waiting in a long queue in real life or waiting for your biography to be accepted, so please be patient with the staff and other members. don’t nag, because it’s not nice!

ix. fun. keep this in mind. we want you to have fun, because that’s what roleplay forums are for, right? so have fun, suckaa!

CHARACTERS,
i. display names. your character’s display name should be what your character is mostly known by, so character’s first and last, optionally middle name, or you can use a ‘codename’ of sorts if your character introduces themselves as that. the name must be in full lowercase.

ii. mary-sues/gary-stus/etc. the perfect characters. beautiful, flawless, often have a tragic past. they’re annoying, noobish, boring to roleplay, and the roleplayer says that everyone loves them. please, honest to god, don’t make them. please don’t make one. >_>

iii. character accounts. this forum is one character per account. only have as many characters as you can keep up with, and please try to remember to log in with them everyday and post in all of their threads!

iv. face claims. these are basically the image of your character. think of it as an actor for the character in a play. they must be a real life celebrity, but no anime or manga characters. they won’t be accepted if you don't use a real life person for your character.

v. character sheet. when creating your character, you MUST use our character sheet, because if you don’t you’ll be rejected, and then all that hard work will be a waste! i’m sure you can convey all your info into our sheet, so don’t worry about having to start from absolute scratch if you’re migrating a character here from another site.

vi. profiles. when accepted, please put a link to your character’s accepted character sheet in the account’s signature or the homepage.

vii. subject. because we list the character boards as alphabetical order, we would like you to label your character thread as LAST NAME, first middle.

ROLEPLAY,
i. word count. we’re a semi-literate forum, you see, so we’d like you to have some writing skills before joining here, and be able to post at least 150 words. if you don’t post 150 words, you will be asked by a member of staff to extend your post.

ii. marking. it’s a lot easier to understand if you mark your in character threads. O marks open, P or C marks private or closed, IO marks invite only, F marks finished, and M marks mature.

iii. spelling and grammar. you should use at least good spelling and grammar in your posts. please no chat speak in your posts (‘less it’s in the general board or the chatango), as it looks quite horrible. also, there’s a spell check at the bottom of your posts and it’s there to check your spelling, so please use it.

iv. god-moding and powerplaying. god-moding is basically making your character ‘god’, or rather, invincible. powerplaying is when you play another person’s character without their permission. neither of these things are tolerated here. please be realistic!

v. post layout. how you write your posts and set them out is entirely up to you. you can use a template and set it out like that, or stick to a simple blockquote and ‘center’ code, or just keep it free of layouts. we only ask you to distinguish your character’s thoughts and dialogue in some way!

vi. finished threads. if your character leaves a thread, please mark, in your post, that it’s an exit. in order to gain extra dollars, you may pm a staff account with a link to the thread, and we’ll add dollars accordingly to each post you make. for each post you make in the thread you get ten dollars. that’s five more dollars than what you automatically get!
