SINK IN ANGER, FOUNTAINS FORMING
SPILLS LIKE THUNDER TO WHAT WE'RE HOLDING [/blockquote] Leaning against the counter, Andy let out a loose chuckle as he spoke with the hot boy on the other side of the bar. They had been conversing for quite a time now, seeing that neither he nor Andy had parted yet (unless someone was ordering something, since he was still on his shift, he couldn't exactly flip them a bird and tell them to fuck off), there was a chance he wouldn't be going home alone- if at all.
His fingers twirled a bottle of vodka in his hands, shaking it up dirty before sliding across the counter to an awaiting hand not far off, the waitress promptly took up the glass and departed, her slim back disappearing into the crowd as people pushed and shoved their way back to the bar for anther glass. He looked back at the boy and let out a smirk. Normally, he wasn't so forward to work, but he always had to put on a smile and cause a scene, the more tricks he can dig up, the more tips he can make. It was a job he happened to like, though some days people decide to be cheap, Saturdays were usually a day where most people were out flirting with each other or just looking for some company. The Spotlight Nightclub was one of those places for the older generation, and sometimes he found himself to be the youngest- but he didn't really mind much. The music wasn't horrid, and they didn't just play mainstream shit over and over again, something that Andy liked, since he wasn't a fan of rap nor pop as much anymore.
He glanced around absently, as if searching for someone, only to realize that his twin must have found amusement elsewhere for the night. And his roommate? With some girl across the club, barely in his line of vision before two couples crowded to the dance floor and started to get low. He shook his head, looking back to his companion searching for the scene black hair, the slim, pale features, the almond brown eyes or the sharp jaw of his angular face, only to see him speaking to another girl. Oh right- he was waiting for his cousin to arrive from her hotel room.
Turning back to work, Andy's efficiency slowed until he stopped for his break. He took a step away from the bar, pouring himself a glass of gin and tonic before he made his way to one of the booths to sit for a while. He leaned forward, elbows resting against the smooth onyx counter as he surveyed the crowd absently, making sure everything was clear. He took a sip from his drink almost absently as he listened to the music coming from the DJ's booth. Already bored, he was about to stand and continue his shift as soon as he finished his drink, but instead he insisted on sitting it out until the last minute. He hoped something good would come out of his night- something better then the twenty dollar tip he kept getting.

A small sigh escaped her lips, inaudible above the sound of music and conversations inside the nightclub. Teagan looked around, taking in the new site. This was the first time she'd been to this club, having only been in town a couple months. When she made the decision to move, she'd been worried it wouldn't help, and although she still grieved, this was better than having to face her family, and Joshua's family, every day. Her sister was the worst, always talking to her, trying to 'help' her. Jessica was still trying, always calling or emailing her. That was the main reason Teagan had decided to go out that night. She had already been feeling a little overwhelmed, with all her homework and tests to study for, and just being in a new place, all alone for the first time in her life. Jessica's call had simply sent her over the edge. Drinking at home just didn't cover it anymore.
As she walked through the crowd, slowly making her way to the bar, a very small smile found its way onto her face. Teagan loved being around people, and the loud music, and the whole rowdy atmosphere. After she had a drink, maybe she'd find someone to dance with. In high school, she'd been a big partier, though never what her mother called a 'reckless partier'. She'd never gotten totally smashed, never did drugs, and she had maintained her straight A's. Of course, that had changed after she found out about Wyatt. This was the first time she'd really been out in more than two years. She hadn't realized how much she missed this life, even if it was a bit different than a high school party.
At the bar, she ordered a 7 an 7. A couple of people she'd met since moving to California had made fun of her for her favorite drink. Apparently, it was the drink people ordered when they didn't really know what else to get. Her mother hadn't had a problem with her drinking since she was sixteen, so she'd tried many different drinks. Seagrams 7 and 7-up was still her favorite, so she just told those few people to shut up. Yes, she actually told them to shut up. She wasn't the sort of person to just sit around and take crap from people. She told people what she thought, as long as it didn't concern her past. When it came to her home life, she basically shut down. Anything personal was a sure way to get her to shut up.
Teagan basically downed the drink. It wasn't as strong as she would have made it at home, but she had to expect that. She made her 7 and 7 pretty damn strong. She opened her mouth to ask for another, when she decided against it. She was not there to drown away her problems in alcohol, she was there to have a good time. Getting completely drunk did not equal a good time, it was just stupid. Eventually, she would have another drink, but not just yet. Maybe she could even get someone to buy her a drink.
Dancing, that sounded good right about then. She turned and started for the dance floor, though she didn't make it. Someone smashed into her, and kept walking. They probably didn't even notice. Teagan noticed, as she tried to keep her balance, and then failed miserably. Sharp pain shot through her hands and knees as she broke her fall. She grit her teeth, to stifle the soft moan that threatened to escape. It took a moment, but once she was collected, mentally, she started to stand up, only to notice she'd fallen in front of a booth at with a crazy looking young man sat. Not insane crazy, but he certainly looked weird. "Oh... I... uh... sorry." She muttered, caught off guard by his looks. ( TAGS ) Andy baby ( WORDS ) 646. ( OUTFIT ) click. SINK IN ANGER, FOUNTAINS FORMING
SPILLS LIKE THUNDER TO WHAT WE'RE HOLDING [/blockquote] Andy sighed, rubbing his forehead and massaging his temples as the music pumped through the speakers. He couldn't hear anything but the buzz of people laughing and screaming. That meant that he wasn't that attentive during his break. And more then anything it startled him when a body feel on the floor in front of his booth. Since the sound of the impact was lost in the noise, at first he mistaken her for a dead body or something. It showed how bored he was and how his mind was starting to blur between what was in the horror movie he watched last night and reality. He leaned back and stared at the mop of brown hair on the floor, no one seemed to rush to her air and he realized that perhaps she was alone, it was just a night to going out either drinking or meeting new people- or maybe her friends ran off on to the dance floor.
Rising to his combat boots, he took a few steps until he was only half a feet away from her head, bending down and hold out a tattooed arm in front of her, urging her to take it and save herself from embarrassment- not that she would get any sympathy, it was a club after all, people came to have fun. Unless someone died or suffered from anything similarly drastic, he doubted people would stop and care. He gave her a grin, or a small twitch on the left corner of his lips. He titled his head to the side, his eyes running over her to see if she was hurt and was fairly in a good condition- there was a back of the club, mostly for employees, but it had a first aid kit in case anything happened.
'Hey Miss, you're not hurt are you?' he asked her, raising a brow, his eyes sparking for a moment. He helped her up before putting his hands in his pockets casually. 'The club can get a little rough sometimes,' he said, slightly bemused she could get pushed around so easily. Usually he was the one doing the shoving. Some people were just inconsiderate these days.

Despite his looks, Teagan thought a little better of the man, for helping her up. She took his hand and stood, brushing off her shorts and shirt. She didn't hold it against the many people who'd walked right on past here. They were here to have a good time, not to help poor strangers. And she'd taken psychology in high school, it was called the Bystander effect. Silently, she was proud of herself for remembering that. High school had been so long ago. It had only been two years, but it felt like forever ago. Like a whole lifetime, really. Those two years were drastically different than the first 18, and drastically different than her current life. Bringing her thoughts back to her current situation, Teagan smile slightly, then forced it a little bigger, "Thank you."
After she was fully standing, and reasonably sure her clothes hadn't been ripped, she rubbed her hands. Her knees were probably red, but she didn't think they were skinned. It hadn't been a hard fall. She was a little irritated with herself, she should have been paying more attention. It was a fucking night club, no one paid attention to others. And this man had witnessed her shame. No, she was there to have some fun, she would not be embarrassed over something so stupid. It could happen to anyone. Then again, it was her luck that she'd make a fool of herself her first night out in a long time.
Teagan looked the man over, trying to get past the over-the-top look. She'd never been a fan of the whole 'scene' thing, but she supposed it was his choice... Here brown eyes focussed on his face when he started to speak, and she shook her head. "No, I'm fine." Her hands and knees still ached slightly, but technically, she was fine. And she didn't really mind the pain... She shrugged her shoulders, "It was my fault, I guess. Wasn't really paying attention." ( TAGS ) Andy baby ( WORDS ) 332 ( OUTFIT ) click. SINK IN ANGER, FOUNTAINS FORMING
SPILLS LIKE THUNDER TO WHAT WE'RE HOLDING [/blockquote] Andy shrugged. Even if she paid attention to where she was going- surely she would still be ran over, some people got a little rough- lucky, twenty one is the age where teens know their alcohol limit, old enough to had some experience, and young enough so they don't really stress in life that they drive themselves into a stupor. Though some people couldn't take the heat that the club offered, most people there were pretty mellow- and he didn't really have to personally remove someone from the bar or have someone take them out. It was a pity when that happened, it usually messed up his night.
He looked at her for a moment, nodding to the thank you and noting the slightly forced smile on her face. He wondered if she really wanted to be there. He turned to sit back down again, crossing his ankles and putting his left arm on the back of the chair again. 'Nah- it happens all the time, don't worry about it,' he said casually with an easy going smile. He took up his drink and his eyes flickered from her then to the chair across from him, it was an open invitation, she didn't have to take it- but he was letting her know the offer was there. 'Can I get you something to drink?' he asked her, looking at the clock that hung above the bar- the older bartender was already there, it seemed like he could handle himself just for a while.
He turned and looked to the girl, trying to put name to face. He looked old enough to be attention collage, and she looked familiar- but he had no idea if he saw at walking down the street or around campus. 'I'm Andy,' he added quickly, realizing that he had yet to introduce himself. He wasn't the type who really knew what to say around people, usually words were awkward, he only really openly said what was on his mind around his friends- and it seemed that all of them seemed to have plans elsewhere today. Not that he blamed them- though spending money on clubs was nice- going everyday would become a bored. Kind of like what he was feeling now.
