The world is racked with anguish and humiliation at the loss of human life in what was the ending of capitalism and the start of the barbaric age. All technology capable of causing such harm again was destroyed by the remaining human populace, instead reverting back to the days of the industrial revolution, powering public transport by steam and using the barest of essential energy to fuel their lives.
The days of steam-punk had arisen on earth, with rogues stealing from and killing each-other in order to survive, humanity had fallen, and a new breed arose from the darkness that had been permeated by the contamination. The vampires that had long been believed a myth had arisen, their natural place on the food chain corrected by the fall of mankind.
To counteract this the last remaining pillar of normalcy in the United Kingdom, the national police force, decided to instate a special branch of experts and charged them with the duty of hunting down those who are deemed a threat to the survival of the human race.
The Earth has fallen, who will come out on top, vampires or humans? What else lurks among the contaminated lands? Will you end the world, or save it?
