you know that i love you boy x hot like mexico, rejoice “you cannot run you cannot hide, ‘cuz we can see your strength inside... and if you fall if you may falter... we’ll be with you that will not alter, ohh.”
the words were sung softly in the student lounge as a japanese student was writing in his notebook, writing in the japanese script he had grown up with. it was about midnight, most students had disappeared to their dormitories to sleep, but not riley. he was currently the only one down here and he highly doubted many would venture down here at this time, unless it was to take a trip to the kitchen area to grab a drink. kazuya riley kimura was lying on his stomach on a sofa on the top level of the student lounge, near to the barrier that prevented people from falling off randomly. he felt tired but... he didn’t want to sleep. he felt a little stressed and lately he had been remembering his best friend more and more and more... was it because he wasn’t as busy? was the usually busy schedule of his life stopping him from pining for his best friend and the shenanigans they usually got up to?
riley let out a soft growl before finishing his sentence in the notebook, turning to the front and writing in the romanized letters that you used for the english language. though he much preferred writing in japanese he had forgotten some of it because he was so used to writing english so much... when he was more awake he knew them, though. the sophomore hummed to himself and turned back a few pages, eyes scanning over the lyrics of a song he was fond of. it wasn’t his to begin with but hey, it was a cover that he had done three times once for his first album, TRANS//LATION, and twice for a single. the latter two were the same, though, just one was sung in japanese and the other in english.
music was a passion of his, and it burned as bright as the midday sun.
“i could have seen the other side, taking a step into the sky, ahh, i’m always laaaaatee,” he sung quietly, starting to hum it before singing again, “wearin’ again my rockin’ shoes, over the puddles made of tears, flashback! i know you’re clever, i remember...” now, normally he would have kept singing quietly to himself however... the sound of a door opening made him shut up and glance around quickly to see where it came from. he had a feeling he might have been hallucinating sounds again... it usually happened at night but wasn’t contained to the dark hours of california, so riley was trying to glance through the dim lights (he had made it so that he could see but it wasn’t bright enough for someone to be blinded from venturing to the student lounge) trying to see who had opened the door... wherever that door sound came from. tagged,,, people count,,, ### lyrics,,, alejandro by lady gaga notes,,, -

Drunk and tripping on acid, James felt each step get slightly harder. The streetlights were making him squint, and when he went to get his cell-phone out to call someone to come get him, the lights on the keys were all spinning. He laughed, nearly falling over, even though he didn't laugh that hard, and put his cell phone away, mumbling about spinning lights. He stopped for a few minutes to watch the outside walls of the school shake, then continued walking.
Using the door frame as a balance, he stepped into the student lounge, blinking a couple times at the light. All he had wanted to do was come in, plop down on the couch, and sleep. He knew that wouldn't happen, on account of the LSD. He knew acid prevented him from sleeping. Not even prevented, more like made him totally unable to. But he knew he wouldn't even be able to lie down when he saw the figure.
He closed the door behind him, and staggered over to the person, hardly able to tell who it was. He blinked a couple times, yawned, and went over to a sofa. He sat down rather clumsily and very ungracefully, and pulled out a cigarette. James felt around his pocket for his lighter, finally pulling it out of one of his back pockets and lighting the cigarette. He took a long drag out of it, and leaned against the back of the sofa.
Then, remembering about the other person, he blinked, raised his eye-brows in a very drunken matter, and spoke with a drunken slur, "'ey.. there..."

you know that i love you boy x hot like mexico, rejoice moments after the door had opened, the japanese male had located it to be the front door of the student lounge, which meant whoever coming in here was coming in from the streets... a student, obviously. even from the distance, riley could smell the alcohol and the stink of something... like drugs, perhaps. the secret celebrity could already feel himself shrinking away into the darkness, figuratively becoming a chibi that was present in most animé in japan. riley was never fond of drunk people, nor was he fond of drugs. nor cigarettes. he sat up immediately as the other person sat down, rather clumsily, on the sofa, and pulled out a ciggie, lighting it and taking one long drag from it.
and damn, he would have been able to disappear onto the floor and crawl back to his dormitory if they hadn’t remembered him, and said with a drunken slur, “’ey there...” he did not like the tone of their voice— this was james levi! he was another sophomore, one riley knew only a little about but he certainly knew who he was. the japanese teenager bit his lip lightly before lightly saying, “hello, james...” in a rather quiet manner, while trying to stand up, but finding that one of his legs had decided to go dead, thus making him drop back down on his side of the sofa.
well, looks like he was going to have to put up with a drunken bastard. he was sure that if james started coming onto him due to lack of self-control and bad judgement, he would be able to beat him off literally. riley was skilled in various types of self-defences and all the like, and plus... he did get in quite a few fights but mostly with bullies. he absolutely hated bullies... so you could say that riley did have a strong sense of justice. tagged,,, people count,,, ### lyrics,,, alejandro by lady gaga notes,,, -
