I hate suits. So much. The only thing that brightened my mood was the fact that James would be wearing a suit, too. He'd probably enjoy it, and look good, too. James was one of those people who actually looked good in suits, unlike me. The shoulders and waist were much too loose on me, and the waist of the pants slid down a bit too much. Why did girls want to be skinny? You can't fit into anything right if you're too skinny.
This was one of those rare times when I actually got around to combing my hair, so my bangs here neatly swept to the side, and the tips just brushed the collar of my formal, somewhat-too-large suit. My shoes, however, were not formal in the slightest bit. Black, beat-up converse. Not dancing shoes, obviously. But I couldn't find any non-leather formal shoes, so.. this would have to do. Not like anyone would be staring at my shoes, anyway...
I walked slowly down the hallway that lead to the grand hall, taking in the festive decorations, and listening to the echo of loud music from the speakers, bouncing off the smooth walls. Pulling my cell phone from my pocket, my fingers glided across the screen, texting James.
hey u at th dance?
My thumb tapped the 'send' button, and I shoved both hands into my pockets, phone and all.

of course i do. He hit the send button. He had been texting his best mate from England, Collin. Of course, Collin had known about the Christmas Dance at Bluewater Bay High-School... James had been telling him about it for three weeks. Collin had asked him if he "had to look fabulous". Fuck yes, of course he did. James smiled when his phone vibrated on his bed, and he walked over to read the text that Collin responded with to him even though he was only wearing his underwear. gay ass. He read the text, laughing a little to himself. The laugh came out like a little hmph. He didn't respond to the text, and he turned his phone on silent. He knew Collin would just text him until he responded back.
He pulled on a red button-up shirt, tugging up a pair of black trousers after. He then pulled on a velvet jacket - very Christmas-y. He didn't know why, velvet just made him think of Christmas. He grabbed his dance-shoes - fake leather looking, with padded soles so they would be more comfortable for dancing or being on his feet. He usually wore them to shows when he played at the Cavern with Collin and Richard. He carefully slid his feet into the dance shoes, grabbing a mistletoe off of his desk and putting it in his pocket.
He grabbed his cell-phone, checking the messages, noting at least thirty messages from Collin and three missed calls from him, and one message from Timmy. He ignored all of the messages from Collin, and giggled a little as he read the message from Timmy. His boyfriend... really couldn't spell. James thought it was cute. And funny.
No, but I'm coming. He hit the send button, turning his phone back up and shoving it in his pocket. He sprayed some cologne on his wrists and neck quickly, then headed out the door to the school hall.
He looked around quickly, before spotting Timmy, and then grinned. He walked over to him, pulling out the mistletoe and holding it above his own head. He looked at Timothy innocently, with puppy eyes. "I forget... What does mistletoe mean?" He grinned.
