PERSONALITY, a boy haunted by his past, virgil is, deep down, still rather shaken about what happened to his twin sister, and younger brother and sister. with a fear of blood due to what happened, virgil tries to keep away from all hospital accidents and negative situations but curiosity keeps him close to them however. he hides behind a mask, appearing to be joyful and happy all of the time, but what he really is trying to do is try to forget the nightmares that haunt him every night. if someone asks the senior about his past he will quickly change topic, or simply look down and walk away to be alone. virgil hasn’t told anyone about what happened to his siblings, and will only tell those he trusts to know that dark day...

HISTORY, your typical greek boy in australia with excellent grades, virgil thought his days were going to be normal, but at age thirteen his parents went out for dinner to celebrate their wedding anniversary. not trusting the twins to look after the house-hold, they entrusted the children in the care of ‘uncle’ alistair tuanok, virgil’s tutor and a family friend. it must have been about, what, ten pm, when alistair went outside to take a call from a friend of his, who gave him the news that alistair’s girlfriend was cheating on him with some other man. virgil, upstairs at the time, was unaware of the sudden fit of anger and bloodlust alistair started going through as he was upstairs, and would have been unaware for the rest of the evening if clever twin sister alaula hadn’t screamed his name. in a fit of panic virgil ran down the stairs of the home to see the living room in a state of chaos, blood on the floor and the walls and the bodies of all three siblings on the floor, obviously murdered with the knife alistair kept with him – as a symbol of his family’s honour. alistair, standing in the middle, stared at virgil for a moment before words were spoken, “you’re next.” but then alistair started having a coughing spasm before virgil realised that his eyes had changed to their normal green colour, clashing with the greek’s blonde hair. all alistair said was, “i’m so sorry” before he attempted suicide with his own knife. virgil however, stopped him. no more blood needed to be shed. virgil took control and called his parents back early, leading alistair to the police station to go into an asylum – the man had told him that he suffered from an extreme bipolar disorder – and then cleaning up the dirty room of the living room. virgil slept with blood on his hands from screaming and crying and cradling all three siblings for four nights before he washed it off, feeling utterly sick of blood and since then, he had been afraid of seeing large amounts of blood – it brings back terrible memories.
when a year went by virgil immediately left australia for bluewater bay, an attempt to escape his past after having many dreams and nightmares about that night. he hasn’t had a major breakdown... yet, and in his senior year of bluewater high school, with all that stress and work and careers... virgil senses that he will eventually break down.
